We get a lot of questions about the use of Green Stuff and Brown Stuff so I thought I'd lay out a few tips on using this seemingly unweildy material. The key to applying either style of epoxy is to keep some water on hand. both Green Stuff and Brown Stuff are very, very tacky. Dipping your tool into the water before plying to the material will help ensure that the epoxy doesn't stick to the tool. In a pinch, if you don't have any water handy you can just rub the tool on the side of your nose or on your temple. The natural body oils that accumulate there will coat the tool enough that you can use it for quick fixes. Another important this to remember is once you've finished working with either style epoxy let it cure for 24 hours before priming. This will help prevent cracks from showing up on the joint as epoxy shrinks a bit as it dries. I hope this is of some help to you hobbyists our there. If anyone has anything to add then please feel free.

putting vasaline or a like product on your fingers also works well and saves constant water dipping to keep the puddy from sticking to your fingers

Good old spit and a tooth pick work wonders as well. getting and keeping your tool wet is key
